APPLE PIE RECIPIE
Ingredients: Pie Dough
- 1 1/4 Cups Of Flour
- 1/4 Tbsp Of Sugar
- 1/4 Tsp Of Salt
- 8 Tbsp Unsalted Butter ( 1 stick )
- 3 Tbsp Of Cold Ice Water
Ingredients: Filling
- 8 Tbsp Unsalted Butter ( 1 stick )
- 3 Tbsp Flour
- 3/4 Cups Of Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Of Water
- 6~7 Granny Smith Apples
Process: Pie Dough
- Dice the butter into 1 cubic inch squares
- Put the Flour, Sugar, Salt and Butter into a food processor or blender
- Blend
- Then Add Ice Water
- Blend Again
- Take Out Of Blender And Knead For ~3 min
- Wrap in Cling Wrap and Put in Fridge
- Repeat this process twice.
Process: Filling
- Melt Butter in Medium Saucepan
- Reduce heat to simmer
- Add in flour
- Stir Constantly for ~1 min
- Add in Sugar and Water
- Stir Constantly for ~ 1 min
- Turn heat to medium and stir for 3 min
- Take off heat and let cool
- Peel Apples
- Core the apples
- Slice into thin pieces
- Mix apples with sauce.
Construction: Apple Pie
- Roll out the first dough ball into an 12 inch circle
- Place on top of pie plate
- Add all of the apples
- Roll out second dough ball into an 11 inch circle
- Either place it on top as is and cut slits in any design
- Or make 7 slices into the dough
- Then lay out 3 pieces of dough vertically across the pie
- and 4 horizontally across the pie
- then lace them together in a weaving pattern
Baking: Apple Pie
- Heat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit or 218 degrees Celsius
- Bake pie for 15 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit
- Lower temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 177 degrees Celsius
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes
